USTA Montana is a not-for profit organization that operates to promote and develop tennis in the state of Montana.
USTA Montana is a part of both the Intermountain Tennis Association and our parent organization, the United States Tennis Association. We are charged with maintaining and growing leagues, tournaments, access, participation and several other aspects of tennis throughout Montana.

USTA Montana offers a variety of opportunities for adults to stay in the game. Social Tennis events, tournament play, and USTA League events are scheduled throughout the year.
Tournaments
For players who enjoy individual competition, adult tournaments provide opportunities to test your skills in singles and doubles play. Events are offered across the state in a range of levels.
League
USTA League Tennis is the most popular way for adults to play competitive tennis. Teams are formed by NTRP level. Leagues offer team camaraderie, and opportunities to advance.
Social Tennis
Social tennis programs are designed for fun, and low-pressure play. Perfect for new players or anyone looking to meet people and enjoy tennis in a relaxed way.

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the recognized leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the U.S.
USTA Intermountain is comprised of six districts throughout the Rocky Mountains. In addition to Montana, Intermountain represents Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.
A Community Tennis Association (CTA) is a local, nonprofit organization dedicated to growing and supporting tennis in its community. CTAs bring together volunteers, players, coaches, schools, parks and recreation departments, and local partners to make tennis more accessible, welcoming, and sustainable. Learn more here
An NTRP rating (National Tennis Rating Program) is a system used by the USTA to group adult tennis players by skill level so matches and leagues are fair, competitive, and enjoyable. Ratings typically range from 2.5 (beginner) to 5.0+ (advanced) and are based on how consistently a player can execute shots, control the ball, and compete in match play.
Self-rating is the first step for new or returning adult players who want to play in a USTA League. It helps place you at the right skill level so matches are competitive and enjoyable.

Answer a few questions about your experience
Receive your self-rating instantly. Based on your answers, the system will assign you an NTRP level so you can register for the appropriate league or tournament.
